As we enter the third phase of the Covid 19 Vaccination Programme there will be a number of new vaccination sites opening in Waltham Forest and some changes to current sites.
The vaccination centre at Chingford leisure centre will close from 26 September 2021 and will be returned for community use.
Two new GP led vaccination centres will open at the Jubilee Centre in Leytonstone and at the Wood Street Health Centre in Walthamstow. St Edmunds Church Hall centre will reopen and alongside the existing centre at Walthamstow library, these four GP led sites will deliver the Covid 19 booster vaccine to eligible residents.
Vaccinations will continue at the Walthamstow library and the site has been reorganised to enable more library functions to be returned to the community.
These vaccination centres will also offer 1st and 2nd dose vaccinations to anyone in the borough who has not yet taken up this offer.
Four new Pharmacy covid 19 vaccination services will also be established over the next few weeks in addition to the existing pharmacy clinics at:
- Anji’s Pharmacy, Lea Bridge Road E10
- Kingshead Pharmacy, Stewardstone Road E4
- Leyton Orient Pharmacy, Oliver Road E10
- Michael Franklin Chemists, St James Street. E17
- Eclipse Pharmacy, Hoe Street, E17
We will continue to provide a programme of community pop up vaccination clinics to provide bespoke clinics in partnership with local community groups.
