NHS England has announced £8.2 million national funding to pilot a range of Digital Social Care (DiSC) technologies for Integrated Care Systems (ICS). NHS North East London Integrated Care Board (NEL) has received some of this funding to be allocated across CQC registered providers across NEL who fit the funding criteria.
Across north east London, part of the DiSC funding will be used to pilot digital social care records (DSCR) to ensure data is captured at the point of care and can be shared between CQC registered adult social care providers/settings.
The pilot will look at decreasing DSCR admin time, increase profitability and increase quality of care delivered within adult social care settings.
Registered CQC providers wishing to take part in this pilot and who have completed the Digital Maturity Assessment can apply for DiSC funding which will cover:
- The first year’s license costs for the base package of an assured DSCR system
- Initial implementation costs
The funding may also be used to cover additional implementation costs (converting paper to digital records) and/or hardware costs.
DiSC funding methods/expression of interest (EOI):
Expression of interests should be made as soon as possible as NEL have an allocation of 115 funding slots for CQC registered providers which will be reviewed and allocated on a first-come-first basis.
If you are a CQC registered adult social care provider, complete the expression of interest form for one of the two funding methods below to take part in the DSCR pilot:
- Standard funding – Care providers looking to newly acquire a DSCR system from the assured suppliers list. In order to be eligible for this funding, care providers much currently be paper-based and not currently be using any form of DSCR system.
- Retrospective funding – Care providers who have proactively acquired a DSCR system from the assured suppliers. To be eligible for this funding, care providers need to have procured an assured DSCR solution after 1 April 2023.
Once we have received your completed expression of interest form, NHS North East London Integrated Care Board (NEL) will review your application and contact you about next steps. If you require any support with your EOI, please contact the Digital First Team at nelondonicb.digitalfirstcare@nhs.net
